Who Can You Call On For Help? God.

Life is a gift. Health must be earned. We earn good health by cultivating healthy habits. For many, cultivating healthy habits is not as easy as we would like it to be. Distractions, responsibilities, deadlines, lack of self-discipline and self-control and lack of willpower can all stand in the way of keeping up with a healthy lifestyle. But the good news is that help is available to us. Just not any kind of help; but divine help. Help that comes from God Himself. It is God’s will for us to be in health; so, calling on God for help in the area of health is in place. God is ready, willing and available to all who call on Him for help.

Some healthy habits are drinking adequate amount of water, having some form of exercise regimen, good nutrition (that would include wholefoods and exclude heavily processed foods), getting proper amount of rest, getting sunlight, giving God your cares, and so on. As simple as it may look or sound, practicing these habits consistently and continually will bring about tremendous and positive results.

Here is a formula for success: ask God for help and do the work. It has been said that there are no shortcuts to any place worth going, and the same applies to your health. There are simply no shortcuts or magic pills to a healthy lifestyle.

Ponder the following: How do you treat your body? Do you treat it with the reverence and respect it deserves, or do you take it more or less for granted? God’s Word says that our bodies are temples that belong to God. Let’s do our best to take care of God’s property.

May you be encouraged and blessed as you continue on this health journey.

Bible Verse To-Go:

So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Luke 11:9-10

Focus for the Week
