Are Allergies Kicking In? Read This...

Allergies are a reaction of the immune system to common substances known as allergens. In some people the immune system reacts to these allergens by triggering an allergic reaction. Some allergic common reactions are wheezing, coughing, red, itchy, and watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, hay fever, and in some cases swelling. These symptoms can be very uncomfortable and sometimes overwhelming.  Here are a few things you can do to avoid or to help reduce, alleviate, or even eliminate the allergic reactions: Avoid the allergens that’s causing the allergic reaction. Stay away from process foods. Many substances that create allergic reactions are found in process foods. Avoid foods that have Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) which is a flavor enhancer often added to foods, canned vegetables, soups, deli meats and other foods. Reading food labels is important.   What is Spiritual Congestion? As late spring arrives, so does the dreaded sinus congestion for many, thanks to the high pollen count. It's a seasonal nuisance that clouds our senses. This physical discomfort can be paralleled with spiritual congestion, where distractions and worries cloud our spiritual perception. Diagnosing the Issue Just as allergens block our nasal passages, life's worries can obstruct our spiritual pathways, making it hard to experience the rejuvenating presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus speaks to this condition in Matthew 11:28-30, promising rest and relief to those burdened by life's 'allergens.'
