Heavy Metal Toxins: Let's take a deep dive

Toxic metals, including "heavy metals," are individual metals and metal compounds that negatively affect people's health. Heavy metals, like arsenic, lead, mercury, and others, are all around us. They’re in the ground we walk on, in the air, in the water we drink, and in the products we use every day. High levels of most heavy metals can cause health problems. Common toxic metals are aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, and nickel. Nickel is widely used as a catalyst to harden fats. It is found in most margarines, commercial peanut butter, and hardened shortening. It is in drinking water, refined and process foods, superphosphate fertilizers, and tobacco smoke. Aluminum contamination is a major health threat today. High levels are showing up in the human body.
