According to NOAA, the Southwest and Pacific Northwest are expected to see significant heat waves, while the Northeast might experience an unusually rainy summer. These diverse weather patterns remind us that summer is a time of change and preparation​ (FOX Weather)​.

Spring Cleaning and Summer Maintenance

With summer upon us, it’s the perfect time to transition from a bit of spring cleaning into summer maintenance. Whether it's tidying up your living space or ensuring your home is ready for the summer heat, taking care of our physical environment can be a refreshing start to the season. Cleaning out clutter and making necessary repairs can bring a sense of renewal and readiness for the months ahead.

Heating Up Our Relationships

In the hustle and bustle of summer activities, we can sometimes forget to nurture our relationship with Christ. Just as we prepare our homes for the season, we should also take time to "heat up" our spiritual lives. Romans 12:11 (ESV) encourages us, "Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord." This verse calls us to maintain our passion for God and actively serve Him while we also nurture — heat up — our relationships with friends, associates, and neighbors.

Reflect and Connect

Here are a couple of questions to consider: How are you preparing your heart for the summer relationships? Are you including your relationship with Christ at the same time?
